HI HI!! :D

as you can see, i've done some minor changes in my blog.

beautified it a little. :DD

how do you like it? (: i know i'm pretty satisfied with it. (:

this post will be about my Chinese New Year. YAY!!!

except CNY this year for me was....blahh. except for the red packets, or what we call it Ang Pau's. (:

i don't know, but it felt like any normal day to me except for the making up & dressing up.

i mean, i can honestly tell you that I'm closer to my mum's side of the family than my dad's.

I honestly had nothing, i mean NOTHING to talk to my cousins about from my dad's side. I'm not sure was it the childish act I had to see from my 2 cousins (mind you, 1 was 13/14 the other was 20+) or was it that my cousin was way older than me, like 6 years apart?

but whatever. I know I had a great time with the foods & my mum's side of the family. :DD

as usual, camwhore. lolol. xD

I would say, my aunt & cousin came up with something different this year. normally, the first day of CNY we would be eating vegetarian & usually at home, but this year, they took it up a notch.

so, they decided to go out to eat & not just any normal restaurant, they decided to go SHANGRI-LA Hotel to have BUFFET! like..... 0______0 are you fucking serious? seriously. my family & I exchanged glances & gave that wtf look. HAHHA!

but yeah, whatever. food was okay for me. ate lots & guess who i saw? MY CLASSMATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL! yeap yeapp, freakyy.

okay,i think that's about it. shall not rant anymore. the following few days were just pretty much the usual. going out to eat, or ate at my uncle's place then watch a movie. highlight of my CNY? collecting ang pau's & did some photo shoot with my cousin. (:

Hello Kitty gets a ‘Chukaman’ makeover

On January 10th, convenience store chain Circle K Sunkus began selling Hello Kitty versions of Chukaman (or steamed Chinese dumpling). The product became an instant sensation, and comments about the ‘Hello Kitty-man’ are spreading fast on social networking sites like Twitter.

“Hello Kitty-man” is a custard-filled steamed dumpling shaped like a Hello Kitty. The confectionery contains apples pieces and is easily bought for 150 yen (approximately $2/RM6)

Its pink wrapping paper also encloses a “Sanrio Happy Fortune”, whose messages vary from from product to product.

terribly sick

hello.

sorry for the long hiatus...

i was sick...like SUPER SICK.

i'm not even kidding.

felt super sick on Saturday when I woke up.

woke with a fever.

took medication & slept in the whole day.

felt so much better on Sunday & thought I could go to college the next day.

guess, I spoke too soon.

after I took a shower in the afternoon, I felt sick again in the night.

even worse, tbh.

came down with a flu & cough.

took some medication that I had at home & slept again.

then, bla bla bla. same thing happened on Tuesday night.

planned to go for a 2 hour class the next day cause' I had to submit the peer evaluation form to my group members but at the 11th hour, my teacher took MC. -.-

so, got my friend, Lisa, to scan it to my friend.

then Wednesday night, i felt EVEN worse since my parents were back late.. with my dinner.

starved to death.

results? I felt like vomiting the entire night.

i almost did, but i didn't know how to. -___-

i even asked my mum how do you vomit. wtf right?!

ever heard anyone asked the other party on 'how do you vomit?'

THERE'S ONE HERE! I'm not kidding. shuckss. :/

in the middle of being sick, i had to finish up my Law assignment & my Quantitative Techniques assignment. i have no idea how i did it but i'm happy. i don't think i was that happy with the end results but i guess i gotta be considering i was terribly sick.

AH YES!

before I forget, I even fainted & fell hard on the floor. no kidding.

all I remembered was...I went down to take my medication in the middle of the night, & didn't feel well, then................................................... I fell down HARD.

brother rushed down to see what happened, then woke my mum up. :S

ughh, I seriously don't know what happened.

my mum asked me: "you mabuk liao a?" -__-

so now, i have blue black on my right knee, on my both arms & wait for it....................

UNDER MY CHIN!! -___________-

will be damn embarrassed lo when i go back to college next week.

The May 6th edition of Music Station had a lot of talented artists performing.

SMAP performed "Not Alone~ Shiawase ni Narouyo", which was released as a Chaku-uta (full) on May the 4th. Kanjani8 performed "My Home", which is scheduled to be released on May 11th. Nishino Kana was there to perform her soon to be single, "Esperanza" which will be released on May 18th & Hirai Ken performed "Itoshiki Hibi Yo", which was released on May 4th.

YUI reveals PV for It's My Life.

YUI’s latest single, “It’s My Life“, is scheduled to drop on January 26th, and while that’s exciting by itself, the PV had a special collaboration scheduled.

Recochoku users voted on which song they thought best cheered on students who were preparing to take exams, and the results of the poll have been announced!

ARASHI won the top spot with their song “Sakura Sake,” a song whose title closely resembles the word for success on exams (sakurasaki). This is the second year in a row that the 2005 single has come in at number one, most likely because the positive lyrics describing spring and cherry blossoms – which normally mark graduation time – are helpful to students who need a little motivation to get through the difficulties of exam preparation. “I think that ‘Sakura Sake’ means ’success,’ so I listened to it all the time when I was studying for my tests,” professed a tenth year student, while another commented that the lyrics gave her “the power to look forward.”

Coming in at second place is YUI’s song “GLORIA.” Tenth year students replied, “When I was a student preparing for exams, I felt like ‘Could I stand to lose?’ whenever I heard this song,” and “The powerful message supported me.” The lyrics of YUI’s hit single express a determination to keep on going to fulfill your dreams even when the going may be tough, a positive message for students.

i know this is a veryy late post but, i've been soooo busyy. :DDD
although SPM is over, i don't feel good. like something's not right. :S
i don't know. its like, its weird.

the papers were, well, plain hard.

so, since SPM is over, i went into like sleeping mode.
i woke up at 1pm the next day.

Music Lovers to air Arashi summer special

On August 22nd, NTV will broadcast a special episode of their Music Lovers show. The episode, featuring Arashi, will be called “Music Lovers 200 Kai Kinnen Manatsu no Arashi special.”

It will be a special fifty minute long episode that will act as the 200th anniversary episode for Music Lovers. The Johnny’s Entertainment stars are already well known for their hits “Happiness,” Believe,” and “Troublemaker.” For the television special, they will be unveiling performances from their new album “Boku no Miteiru Fuukei.” For this special live event they will also be restricting it to only male fans of ARASHI. The show also conducted a poll of Arashi fans before the special and will show the results during the episode.

In addition to Arashi, Music Lovers will also host Yashima Norito and Meisa Kuroki as guests.

Satoshi Ohno, member of the popular group Arashi, recently made an appearance via video clip on Korea’s popular music show “M countdown” on Mnet. The appearance was to advertise ARASHI’s new album titled “Boku no Miteiru Fukei” which was released on August 4th.

In the video clip, Ohno commented a little about the album saying “Everyone who is watching M countdown, good evening, I’m Ohno Satoshi from ARASHI. This album came out to be a little different from the previous ones, but I think it came out really good. M countdown Sarang hae yo~ (I love you~).”

Yoga protects the brain from depression.

Practising yoga really does relax your mind as well as your body more than other types of exercise, a new study claims.

Researchers have found that three sessions of the exercise a week can help fight off depression as it boosts levels of a chemical in the brain which is essential for a sound and relaxed mind.

Scientists found that the levels of the amino acid GABA are much higher in those that carry out yoga than those do the equivalent of a similarly strenuous exercise such as walking.

The chemical, GABA, is essential to the function of brain and central nervous system and which helps promote a state of calm within the body.

Low GABA levels are associated with depression and other widespread anxiety disorders.

Scientists from the Boston University School of Medicine, USA, spent 12 weeks monitoring two groups of healthy individuals, half of whom walked for three hours each week, while the other half spent the same time doing yoga.

Participants brains were scanned before and after the study using magnetic resonance spectroscopic (MRS) imaging to measure GABA levels, while they were also asked questions about their psychological wellbeing throughout the study.

Those who did yoga reported lower levels of anxiety and increases in their mood than the walkers.

Professor Chris Streeter said yoga participants increased feeling of wellbeing was associated with GABA levels.

He said: "Over time, positive changes in these reports were associated with climbing GABA levels."

Prof Streeter called for further research into using yoga as a treatment for other forms of mental illness.

The research was published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine. Katie Prior, of mental health charity Mind, welcomed the study.

She said: "Any kind of exercise is good for improving a person's mood and self esteem. It makes you feel good and look good, both of which help with mental wellbeing.

"Yoga is a relaxing, low impact activity for people who don't like the thought of walking or running.

"It can be done in the privacy of a person's own home, or people can join a class where they can meet others – this is a great way to meet people, especially for those who may suffer from isolation and loneliness."

The research is good news for yoga which along with pilates was criticised earlier this month for not pushing the body as hard as other exercises.

The University of Wisconsin said that it fell short of what was considered an all-round workout.

They found that while yoga did improve strength, endurance, balance and flexibility, they burned very few calories — suggesting they had not pushed their bodies hard enough to gain substantial aerobic improvements.

In fact, researchers found that a typical class used 144 calories in 55 minutes— the same amount burned during a slow walk.

Even power yoga, which requires participants to perform poses in quick succession, was found to burn only about 237 calories per class and to boost the heart rate to only 62 per cent of the maximum that constitutes a light aerobic workout.

A heart rate of 64-94 per cent maximum is the level needed to work the heart and lungs effectively.

On average, a 50-minute Pilates session burned 174 calories (beginner) and 254 (advanced) — half the amount you might burn on a run of similar duration.

HELLO HELLO!!! i'm back!! XD it has been so long since i updated my blog. :D

trial 1 just ended. it lasted for 2 weeks. -.-
as usual, i studied like last minute.
woke up at like 4am almost everyday to study for the paper i'm sitting for.

so, last friday was D-Day for choral speaking competition.
if you do not know what is choral speaking,
it is a recitation of poetry or prose by a chorus.
it went quite well.
except for a few mistakes here and there.
no use crying over spilled milk right?
nonetheless, it was great! (:
we came in second.
so, a silver medal for my class. :D

woke up at 9am on Sunday! o.o
i was reluctant to wake up since it is still SO early.
but i had to take my passport photo for my moral project. -__-
headed out to Subang Parade to take my picture
then walked to Empire.
shopped around for awhile.

went to The Loaf to get my brother and I some bread.
my mum had to stop me from buying breads. LOL!!
went home and drank coffee. AND tea,

start of something new

the mid terms holidays have ended
and school just started.
it is only the second day of school
and i'm already feeling tired of school.
futhermore, with the amount of problems i'm facing now,
i just can't really stand being in school.
you may see a smile on my face in school,
or me being very happy.
but deep down, i'm feeling shitty.

so, with the new semester starting,
it means getting back our results for our MYE.
which, i did badly.
as i only studied the day before the paper. -.-
so, it is partly my fault. lols.
i just don't want to fail badly.

i've already got back 7 papers
with the overall marks.
and i must say,
i'm okay with the results.
except accounts.
i suck at that subject.
plus maths. BUT,
i did pretty okay this time around. (:

hello once again.
as ya'll know, it's the holidays now.
it's the second week of the hols.
meaning the last week
before i'm back to school
and being thrown at heaps of homeworks. :/

as a SPM candidate,
we have lots of projects to do.
and one of it is Moral.
yes, Pendidikan Moral.
we are suppose to finish it up by next week.
and i only wrote 2 short essays. -.-
so much for being productive.

on the other hand, the trailer for Hanamizuki film
starring Aragaki Yui and Ikuta Toma is OUT!! :D
The film is named after and inspired by a hit 2004 single
by singer Yo Hitoto which is also used as the main theme song.

Yui Aragaki stars as a Hokkaido high school student named Sae who lives with her mother Ryoko (Hiroko Yakushimaru) and dreams of attending a Tokyo university. Sae studies for her entrance exams while being watched over by the flowering dogwood tree (hanamizuki) planted by her father (ARATA), who died when she was young.

Eventually, she meets and falls in love with Kohei (Toma Ikuta), who is planning to stay in Hokkaido and become a fisherman like his father. When Sae leaves Hokkaido for university, they attempt a long-distance relationship, but it’s ill-fated. However, a miracle occurs ten years later…

“Hanamizuki” will be released in Japan on August 21, 2010.

Sakurai Sho's upcoming movie "Kamisama no Karute"

Today it has been announced that Arashi's Sakurai Sho (28) is going to be starring in his first doctor role in the movie "Kamisama no Karte" that will open sometime next year.

Production is being handled by the team that already brought us "Crying Out Love, In the Center of the World". Sakurai was already overwhelmed by the script, "It was such a tear-jerker!" He will play an internist dealing with medical care in Matsumoto, Nagano. Actress Miyazaki Aoi (24) is going to play the woman at his side. It's the first time the two of them are working together.

Kurihara Ichito (Sakurai) is a young doctor who is going to experience a lot of different patients in Matsumoto, e.g. a woman with terminal cancer. All patients and their tragedies somehow influence his own life. However, "Kamisama no Karte" won't just be a completely depressing and sad drama. There will be eccentric characters and friends of Kurihara that are going to loosen the serious atmosphere whenever it seems appropriate. The production team knows what they are doing, so there should be no concern on that end.

"Working in the field of community medicine (chiiki iryou), you always have to deal with >life<>live<. It's going to show you how important it is to have some kind of light in your life." He earnestly explained the message of the story.

In the movie you are not only going to see Sakurai as a doctor, you will also witness him as a devoted husband. Miyazaki will play his wife Haruna, a professional mountain photographer. As mentioned above, it's their first time working together. Sakurai about Miyazaki, "With Miyazaki it will be no problem playing a married couple overflowing with love, because there is such a soft atmosphere surrounding her." Miyazaki is looking forward to the filming that will start in September as well. "By getting into the role of the strong and kind Haru I'd like the filming to be just as relaxed as her character." She said.

The story is based on a novel by writer and actual doctor in Nagano, Natsukawa Sousuke (31). It went on sale in August 2009 and already sold over 300,000 copies. So far the signs are looking good for this movie. Let's see whether the production team will be able to repeat the success of their previous works.

holiday has started BUT
there's 2 days of extra classes for Form 3 and Form 5 students.
as we're sitting for major exams this year. :/

i was supposed to go for extra class today
but i had transportation problems.
so, obviously i did not go.
ended up waking at 11am in the morning.
the first thing that came to my mind was..
'how am i going to bed early tonight?'
cause i still have extra classes to go tomorrow.
then, tuition after that. -.-

i texted Elaine at around 8am
to get me worksheets for commerce.
and she said everyone is shocked. -.-

anyway,i spent my day cooking lunch and dinner

i'm back once again.
i've been on hiatus as i was sitting for my 3-weeks long exams.
but thankfully, it's finally over now. (:
all i have to wait now is for my sucky results

cause i did last minute studying.
and when i mean last minute studying, i mean it.
studying the day before the paper. -.-

back to reality.
all i did after the exams were over was
sitting in front of the tv/comp and watch dramas, anime and reading fan fics.

KT-TUN to hold first Korea concert

Japanese idol group KAT-TUN will be visiting Korea for their first-ever concert in the country in August, according to their Korean licenser Mnet Media.

A press release from Mnet said that the six-member boy band will hold their two-day concert at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul on August 6 and 7, as one of the stops on their Asia Tour titled “KAT-TUN World Big Tour.”

They are scheduled to take the stages of Japan, Korea, Taiwan and several countries throughout the Asia region.

A representative from Mnet stated, “Local fans are showing great interest in the group performing in the country and they will be able to experience high quality music from KAT-TUN.”

KAT-TUN, composed of members Kazuya Kamenashi, Jin Akanishi, Junnosuke Taguchi, Koki Tanaka, Tatsuya Ueda and Yuichi Nakamura, made their debut in 2006 with their first single album “Real Face.”

They are considered to be one of the most popular boy bands in Japan and have appeared in various Japanese variety shows, dramas and commercials.

i've been busy and my comp somehow can't log into my account. -.-
i'm currently sick too!!grrrr..

so, last saturday, i went to school for culinary dessert competition.
elaine and i BAKED the muffins without any practice.
and it turned out okay.
after that, we went to Chloe's house for skit practice.

Skit was on Tuesday.
i've watched them practice the whole day.
and they did good. (:
